The Economics of Private Guitar Tutoring in Tier 1 And Tier 2 Cities In India: An Analysis of Cost Structures, Demand, And Income Patterns.
Authors: Ms. Sushmitha Vincent Chemmannoor, Professor, Gabriel Rodrigues
Abstract: With music education gaining importance in urban India, the demand for private guitar lessons has seen a surge in Tier 1 and Tier 2 cities and an informal music teaching economy has emerged. However, there hasn’t been much research on how this sector works – pricing, demand and income sustainability. This study aims to fill that gap by comparing the economics of private guitar tutoring in these cities. It looks at how tutors organize their services – hourly rates or monthly packages, online or in-person. It also examines the average fees they charge and the income patterns. Additionally, it explores what makes consumers willing to pay – tutors’ qualifications, mode of lesson delivery, learners’ backgrounds and free online options. The findings show big differences: Tier 1 tutors charge higher fees and have a wider digital reach; Tier 2 tutors charge lower fees but have lower overheads and face challenges in scaling up. The study concludes with policy and entrepreneurial suggestions – local certification, subsidized infrastructure and digital support to formalize and upgrade the private music education landscape in urban India

Ethical Implications of AI-Driven Financial Reporting in SMEs: Assessing Impacts on Firm Performance and Accounting Professionalism in Ghana
Authors: Collins Frimpong Kyei
Abstract: There is no question that the widespread adoption of Artificial Intelligence (AI) applications in financial reporting systems poses new uncertainties to ethical standards in place in the Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in developing economies. The paper is a critical analysis of various ethical implications of the adoption of AI-driven financial reporting among SMEs in Ghana, particularly noting the dialectic of technology and conventional accounting professionalism as a part of the financial reporting process. Adopting the perspectives of Stakeholder Theory, Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), and Resource-Based View (RBV), the present research helps question the intricate relationships between the AI integrations, ethical responsibility, and the resulting organizational performance. It becomes clear after the analysis that, though AI technologies have significant potential in terms of improving the reporting efficiency and the ability of organizations to make strategic decisions, they also create critical ethical questions about professional autonomy, transparency of algorithms, and endorsing stakeholders with confidence. The research helps establish the emerging field of AI ethics in the accounting body by contrasting the unique and complex challenges faced by SMEs in Sub-Saharan Africa because of the norms and pressures of resource-shy environments and institutional frameworks that provide a distinct environment in which AI should be implemented. The evidence highlights the urgent need for thorough ethical governance systems capable of balancing technological innovation and traditional standards of the profession and overcoming the local peculiarities of the developing digital economy in Ghana.

Assessment of Pollution Levels Using Biomarkers in Callinectes Sapidus from Estuaries in Rivers State, Nigeria
Authors: Doris Ugochi Obinna, Dike, Henry Ogbuagu, Enos I. Emereibeole, Chris Chibuzor Ejiogu
Abstract: The increasing anthropogenic pollution in estuarine ecosystems poses a significant threat to aquatic life and ecosystem health. This study aims to assess the pollution levels in selected estuaries of Rivers State, Nigeria, using biomarkers in Callinectes sapidus (blue crab) as an indicator of environmental contamination. In situ measurements for some water quality variables were made at the sampling locations. 48 female crabs (weight 149.20 ± 0.02 g) harvested for the estimation of biomarker levels. Mean concentrations of Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons (TPHs), Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons (PAHs), Zn and Cr (Sig. values=0.000 each), Cd, Pb, and Fe (Sig. t-values=0.003, 0.019 & 0.009 respectively) were significantly higher at the impacted than reference locations, while that of Monocyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons (MAHs) and Fe (Sig. t- values=0.032 & 0.014 respectively) differed seasonally at p<0.05. Though there was no significant difference in accumulations of the heavy metals and hydrocarbons in tissues of the organism, numerical accumulations of Zn (5.73±2.60 µg/g) and TPHs (1.84±1.08 µg/g) were highest in the digestive than the other tissues sampled. Mean levels of Lactate Dehydrogenase (LDH), Alanine Aminotransferase (ALT), Aspartate Aminotransferase (AST), Alkaline Phosphatase (ALP) and Malondialdehyde (MDA) (sig=0.000 each) at the OSD locations, and that of total proteins (Sig. t- value=0.030) in the rainy season were all markedly higher in the organism (p<0.05). Elevated MAHs appeared to induce the production of less ALT (r=-0.584) and AST (r=-0.519), Cr induced the production of less AST (r=-0.513) (p<0.05), while MAHs induced the production of less MDA (r=-0.634) (p<0.01). Lead and PAHs recorded very high Pollution indices (240,000 & 790,000) in sediments, while Zn and TPHs recorded high toxicity quotients of 1.59 and 2.83 in the organism. Allochthonous input of pollutants from petroleum sources into the creek caused biological disruptions, including tissue bioaccumulation and other biochemical disruptions in proteins and enzyme activities of C. sapidus, and these disruptions could rightly infer pollution. Treatment of oily effluents before discharge into the creek is recommended.
Designing Effective Soft Skills Training for Employee Performance Improvement in the Logistics Industry of Pune
Authors: Assistant Professor Priya Borse, Rakesh Patil
Abstract: The logistics industry in Pune has undergone rapid transformation, driven by globalization, technological advancement, and evolving customer expectations. While technical competencies remain fundamental, soft skills have emerged as equally critical for sustaining service excellence and operational efficiency. This study investigates the effectiveness and challenges of soft skills training in Pune’s logistics sector. It aims to evaluate the current state of training programs, assess employee perceptions, and identify gaps between required and existing soft skill levels. A mixed-method approach was adopted, combining qualitative case studies and expert interviews with quantitative surveys from employees and HR professionals in medium to large logistics firms. The analysis revealed that although most organizations offer some form of soft skills training—primarily focused on communication and customer service—the content often lacks industry relevance and practical orientation. Key findings indicate that effective training can lead to a 18–25% improvement in client satisfaction and up to 20% reduction in conflict resolution time, yet time constraints, generic content, and lack of integration with performance systems remain major barriers. Employees reported increased confidence (76%) and better teamwork (68%) following training but expressed the need for more contextual, scenario-based modules. The study concludes that blended learning models, contextual training design, performance-linked outcomes, and continuous feedback mechanisms significantly enhance the impact of soft skills programs. The research offers a framework of scalable, sector-specific recommendations to integrate soft skills into human resource development strategies, positioning logistics firms for improved productivity, service quality, and employee engagement.

The Impact Of The USA On Indian Exports: An Empirical Analysis
Authors: Gayatri Dilip Gohil
Abstract: This paper examines the multifaceted relationship between the United States and India's export sector through empirical analysis of trade data from 2000-2024. Using multiple regression models and time-series analysis, we investigate how various US economic indicators, policy shifts, and bilateral agreements have influenced the volume, composition, and growth trajectory of Indian exports. Our findings indicate a strong positive correlation between US GDP growth and Indian export performance, with certain sectors demonstrating higher elasticity to US economic cycles. The research also identifies significant structural shifts in the trade relationship following key events such as the 2008 global financial crisis, the 2017-2019 trade tensions, and the COVID-19 pandemic. We conclude that while US-India trade relations have evolved toward greater integration and complexity, Indian export vulnerability to US economic fluctuations persists, suggesting the need for strategic diversification while maintaining the vital US market access.

Authors: Assistant Professor Dr B Raghunathreddy, Assistant Professor P. Sudheer Kumar, Assistant Professor P.V Nagaraju, Assistant Professor N Prem Kumar
Abstract: The seismic performance of reinforced concrete (RC) frames is crucial for ensuring structural safety in earthquake-prone regions. Traditional RC frames often suffer severe damage during seismic events due to their brittle failure modes and inability to dissipate sufficient energy. In recent years, structural dampers have emerged as an effective method to enhance seismic performance by reducing vibration responses and increasing energy dissipation. This paper investigates the role of passive dampers, particularly viscous and friction dampers, in improving the seismic performance of RC frames. Analytical and experimental studies are reviewed, along with numerical simulations, to evaluate the reduction in displacement, inter-story drift, and base shear. The paper concludes that the integration of dampers significantly improves the resilience of RC frames, offering a cost-effective retrofitting solution for existing structures
The Stochastic Backbone: A Unified Framework For Risk Management In The FinTech Industry
Authors: Mollah Mohammad Mahabubuzzaman
Abstract: The FinTech industry, which works mainly with digital tools, deals with a lot of transactions and new financial products. This environment brings a number of different and complex risks. Traditional risk management methods, which are based on fixed predictions, are often not enough to handle the unpredictable nature of these digital systems. This paper argues that using stochastic finance gives the best foundation for a strong, consistent, and forward-thinking risk management system in the FinTech industry. We show how tools like Geometric Brownian Motion, Poisson processes, Monte Carlo simulations, and machine learning to spot unusual activity can be used in six main risk areas: credit card fraud, market risks, money liquidity issues, IT and operational problems, transaction risks, and stopping money used for terrorism. We also look at how it helps with keeping enough cash on hand. The study shows that using a stochastic approach is not just helpful but necessary for FinTech companies to handle uncertainty, follow rules, stay stable, and build a lasting competitive edge.

The Impact Of Knowledge Management On Academic Excellence And The Suitability Of SPPU Management Institutes
Authors: Professor Kritika
Abstract: This letter examines the important role of knowledge management (KM) practices in increasing educational excellence, which focuses a special focus on management institutes affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU). Studies show that core KM procedures – knowledge building and acquisition, storage and organization, sharing and transfer, and application – training, research and innovation, and contact to improve institutional results in innovation, and graduate success. Drawing on recent India-centric studies, we develop an ideological structure that combines KM practices with an average indicators of educational quality and institutional stability. Framework emphasizes that academic excellence is no longer operated only by traditional education, but an institution's ability to systematically capture, management and enforce knowledge resources. For example, faculty foster collaborative research to share knowledge between cooperative research, while digital repository and knowledge database increase access to students. Similarly, the application of knowledge through case-based teaching, industry projects and innovation laboratories strengthens graduation employment and institutional reputation. We propose a practical evaluation rubric for management institutes affiliated with SPPU in order to implement these insights. People (faculty efficiency, student engagement, leadership support, and procedures), procedures (standardized academic and research practices, collaborative platforms), and platforms (digital infrastructure, learning management and analysis equipment) comprise the KM Rubric's three dimensions of maturity. In order to evaluate the institution's current position and identify areas for improvement, this comprehensive strategy provides concrete benchmarks. Evidence of Indian higher education highlights that institutions adopting structured KM practices are a notable improvement in student learning results, faculty satisfaction and organizational performance. Existing resources like the digital library, online teaching platforms, and centralized academic databases provide a favorable foundation for KM adoption in the SPPU reference. To share governance structures, knowledge, and target promotion in data-operated decision making, faculty encouragement is, however, required. The SPPU institute will be able to make knowledge management (KM) a strategic driver of academic excellence and longevity by strengthening these enablers. This paper highlights how important powerful powerful know-how control implementation is for the continuing competition, creativity and social relevance of SPPU-normal manipulate establishments? by way of such as the know-how management (KM) in its academic and administrative systems, such institutions can acquire excessive great outcomes and align more intently with global standards of excellence.

Optimizing Financial Security For Customer Card (Visa / Master/ATM): Decision Intelligence For Fraud Mitigation Using Dynamic Decision Networks And Reinforcement Learning.
Authors: Mollah Mohammad Mahabubuzzaman
Abstract: Credit card fraud is a growing threat to the global financial system, resulting in huge financial losses and eroding trust in digital payments. Traditional fraud detection methods – including legacy rule-based systems and traditional machine learning models – have serious limitations in adapting to new fraud tactics, reasoning under uncertainty and optimizing sequential decision making. This paper introduces a new integrated framework that combines Dynamic Decision Networks (DDN), Bayesian inference and Reinforcement Learning (RL) to address these challenges. I reformulate fraud detection as a sequential decision making problem under uncertainty where each transaction is evaluated in its temporal context using an adaptive policy that maximizes long term expected utility. Mathematical foundations are rigorous while experimental results on real world datasets show 99.99% detection rate with minimal false positives – far better than state of the art. This work sets a new standard for financial security systems that balance protection and customer experience

Authors: Professor Dr. T. Vasumathi, M.K.Dharshini, K.Dhanuskumar
Abstract: Children are widely recognized as one of the most influential consumer groups in family purchase decisions, and their impact cannot be overlooked. Not only do they significantly shape parental buying behaviour in the present, but they also represent the adult consumers of the future. This study aimed to analyze the various sources of children’s influence on parental purchase attitudes and buying behaviour, to examine both the positive and negative effects across product categories, and to assess the extent of this influence. Data were collected from 522 parents of children studying in select private matriculation schools in Coimbatore using a structured questionnaire. Findings revealed that children exerted a strong positive influence on food product purchases, while parents reported a predominantly negative influence in the case of cosmetic products. The study further showed no significant relationship between the parents’ role in taking children on outings and their purchase attitudes; however, a clear association was observed between outings and parental buying behaviour. Moreover, differences were identified between the frequency of outings and the degree of children’s influence, indicating a strong impact. Results also highlighted that purchase attitudes and buying behaviour vary significantly depending on the type of product purchased for children. In particular, children were found to exert higher influence on the purchase of cosmetics and stationery compared to other product categories.

The Influence Of Transformational Leadership On Employee Engagement In B2B Service Industries
Authors: Hetal Ashok Patel
Abstract: Leadership continues to occupy a central place in organizational studies because of its capacity to shape not only strategic direction but also the daily lived experience of employees. In the twenty-first century knowledge economy, the connection between leadership and employee engagement has become a decisive factor in determining organizational competitiveness. This research examines the relationship between transformational leadership and employee engagement in Business-to-Business (B2B) service industries, where human capital and client relationships form the foundation of long-term success.Drawing on transformational leadership theory as articulated by Burns, Bass and Avolio and employee engagement frameworks developed by Kahn and Schaufeli, the study explores how the four dimensions of transformational leadership idealized influence, inspirational motivation, intellectual stimulation and individualized consideration contribute to the three dimensions of engagement: Vigor, dedication and absorption. The study adopts a mixed-methods design, employing survey data collected through the Multifactor Leadership Questionnaire (MLQ) and the Utrecht Work Engagement Scale (UWES), alongside qualitative interviews to provide depth and contextual richness. For methodological illustration, a simulated dataset of 300 respondents from logistics, IT services, consulting and outsourcing firms was analysed using descriptive statistics, reliability testing, correlation, regression and structural equation modelling. The results suggest that while transformational leadership overall has a positive association with engagement, two dimensions idealized influence and intellectual stimulation are particularly influential in B2B contexts, while inspirational motivation and individualized consideration appear weaker predictors. Qualitative interviews reinforced these findings as employees highlighted the importance of trust, integrity and intellectual challenge in their work environments. The study contributes theoretically by extending the leadership–engagement linkage into B2B service industries, where the dynamics differ from healthcare, education or manufacturing contexts often studied previously. Practically, it offers guidance to HR managers and organizational leaders in designing leadership development programs that emphasize ethical role-modelling and innovation, while also addressing systemic factors such as workload and recognition to close the engagement gap. Ultimately, the study underscores that while leadership is a powerful antecedent of engagement, it must be integrated within broader organizational systems to achieve sustainable results.

A Comparative Study Of Risk Parity Vs Traditional Allocation Strategies In Emerging Markets
Authors: Harshvardhan kuldeep pandey
Abstract: This research paper investigates the comparative performance of Risk Parity and Traditional Allocation approaches in emerging markets, with India and Brazil being the primary countries of focus. Although conventional approaches like the 60/40 equity-bond strategy are prevalent, they do not account for risk contribution as the governing philosophy. Risk Parity, however, distributes capital equally across all asset classes based on their risk contribution, providing a volatility-nimble approach. The research utilizes 2012-2024 historical returns and builds back-tested portfolios for the two strategies based on equities, bonds, and commodities. CAGR, Sharpe Ratio, volatility, and peak drawdown are used to measure each strategy's performance. The aim is to determine if Risk Parity delivers better risk-adjusted returns in politically risky, currency-volatile, and asymmetric growth in economies. Early evidence indicates Risk Parity provides more consistent performance in crisis times but lags in high-growth market booms. The article seeks to offer useful advice for institutional investors looking for portfolio resilience in emerging markets
