Status And Growth of Medical Tourism in India
Authors: Hunsil Nisa
Abstract: Background: Medical tourism, a burgeoning global industry, spans a spectrum of healthcare services that entice individuals to traverse international borders in pursuit of medical interventions. Method: This research study aimed to assess various aspects related to medical tourism in India. The study employed a quantitative survey approach using Likert scale questions to collect responses from participants. Findings: The findings revealed a diverse range of views among participants. While some respondents believed that India is a leading destination for medical tourism and reported frequent visits for medical care, others expressed scepticism and reported administrative challenges during their medical treatment.
