Abstract: This letter examines the important role of knowledge management (KM) practices in increasing educational excellence, which focuses a special focus on management institutes affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU). Studies show that core KM procedures – knowledge building and acquisition, storage and organization, sharing and transfer, and application – training, research and innovation, and contact to improve institutional results in innovation, and graduate success. Drawing on recent India-centric studies, we develop an ideological structure that combines KM practices with an average indicators of educational quality and institutional stability. Framework emphasizes that academic excellence is no longer operated only by traditional education, but an institution's ability to systematically capture, management and enforce knowledge resources. For example, faculty foster collaborative research to share knowledge between cooperative research, while digital repository and knowledge database increase access to students. Similarly, the application of knowledge through case-based teaching, industry projects and innovation laboratories strengthens graduation employment and institutional reputation.We propose a practical evaluation rubric for management institutes affiliated with SPPU in order to implement these insights. People (faculty efficiency, student engagement, leadership support, and procedures), procedures (standardized academic and research practices, collaborative platforms), and platforms (digital infrastructure, learning management and analysis equipment) comprise the KM Rubric's three dimensions of maturity. In order to evaluate the institution's current position and identify areas for improvement, this comprehensive strategy provides concrete benchmarks. Evidence of Indian higher education highlights that institutions adopting structured KM practices are a notable improvement in student learning results, faculty satisfaction and organizational performance. Existing resources like the digital library, online teaching platforms, and centralized academic databases provide a favorable foundation for KM adoption in the SPPU reference. To share governance structures, knowledge, and target promotion in data-operated decision making, faculty encouragement is, however, required. The SPPU institute will be able to make knowledge management (KM) a strategic driver of academic excellence and longevity by strengthening these enablers.
