Abstract: In order to use any mathematical or statistical techniques, categorical or ordinal data that lack analytical characteristics are coded or transformed to dummy numbers. It is regarded as a crucial instrument for analytical purposes. It bridges the gap between variables that aren't numerical and those that are. In one way or another, dummies are used by various data analysts, researchers, economists, students, or teachers who work with data. Inaccurate inferences may be reached if these are not coded or handled carefully. It is impossible to overlook the significance of dummies in the fields of operation research, statistics, and statistical analysis at both the descriptive and inferential levels.
