Abstract: Green banking refers to environmentally responsible banking practices that promote sustainable economic growth while minimizing the ecological footprint of banking operations. In India, the concept of green banking has gained importance as financial institutions are increasingly recognizing their role in addressing environmental and social challenges. This article explores the evolution, significance, and implementation of green banking initiatives in India.
