Abstract: In the pharmaceutical industry, procurement is a strategic function that requires high visibility, regulatory compliance, and cost efficiency. Business Intelligence (BI) dashboards play a critical role in enabling procurement teams to monitor key performance indicators, optimize supplier relationships, and ensure audit readiness. This article explores core procurement analytics use cases—such as spend analysis, supplier performance, contract compliance, and sustainability tracking—within the context of pharma’s unique challenges. It also outlines dashboard design patterns tailored for different roles, with emphasis on visual clarity, drill-down capability, and system integration. A real-world case study demonstrates the impact of effective dashboard implementation, while a review of current BI tools and a look at emerging trends—like predictive analytics and AI-assisted decision-making—offers a forward-looking perspective. The article provides a comprehensive guide for designing dashboards that drive action, improve efficiency, and align with both business and regulatory objectives in pharmaceutical procurement.
